Cancellation of the Travemünde-Malmö departure on July 17, 2024

Current alternatives

Our ferries operate a regular scheduled service and we do everything we can to avoid cancellations or delays. However, due to a technical fault on board Finntrader, the Travemünde-Malmö departure on July 17, 2024 at 10 pm cannot take place as planned.

We would like to provide you with the best possible support and have compiled all alternative travel options on this page.

Your alternative travel options

Option 1: Free rebooking to 18.07.2024 at 10:00 am from Travemünde (check-in 8:00 am to 9:00 am) with arrival in Malmö at 7:00 pm

If you would like to choose this option, please contact us by phone (+49 451 1507 443). The availability of free places on 18.07. is limited. If you are already traveling to Travemünde and need an overnight stay in a hotel, you can book a room yourself and send the costs to [email protected] after your trip, stating your booking number.

Please note that we generally cover hotel costs of €80 per person. Due to the summer season, we will also cover higher costs within acceptable limits as a gesture of goodwill. You can find possible hotels or accommodation in Lübeck and Travemünde on popular portals such as booking.com.

Option 2: Arrival by land

If you are traveling with your own vehicle, you can travel via Denmark. In this case, you travel via Fehmarn and the Puttgarden-Rødby ferry route operated by Scandlines (departures every 30 minutes) to Denmark and from there over the Öresund Bridge (toll) to Malmö. Payment can be made on the spot by credit card. After your journey, contact [email protected] with your booking number and we will refund either your Finnlines ticket or the Scandlines ticket and the cost of the bridge.

Option 3: Crossing with TT-Line from Travemünde to Trelleborg

Please book your trip yourself via the TT-Line website. Please note that availability is limited. After your trip, send an e-mail to [email protected] stating your booking number – we will refund either your Finnlines ticket or the TT-Line ticket.

Option 4: Cancellation of your ferry trip free of charge

If none of the other options are suitable for you, you can of course also cancel your ferry trip free of charge. Please send an e-mail to [email protected] stating your booking number.

Our customer service in Lübeck is available by phone until 5 pm today. From 5:30 pm you can reach our check-in team in Travemünde on +49 451 1507 290 or on site.
