A technical error on M/S Finnsirius, the vessel is being repaired in the Port of Kapellskär

On Thursday 3 October, on its way from Naantali to Kapellskär, the freight and passenger vessel M/S Finnsirius sustained an internal pipe damage, as a consequence of which water flooded into a technical compartment in the forward section of the vessel. The technical compartment is a watertight, enclosed space and only a restricted area sustained damage.

The vessel arrived in Kapellskär somewhat behind schedule. The vessel has been moored in the Port of Kapellskär where it is being repaired. The Thursday night departure from Kapellskär to Naantali and morning departure from Naantali to Kapellskär have been cancelled. On Friday 4 October the evening departure is planned to depart normally.
