ETS + FEUM Charge
To comply with EU regulations an ETS + FEUM Charge is introduced which comprises of EU ETS Environmental charge and FuelEU Maritime charge.
The EU Directive (EU) 2023/959 introduces changes to greenhouse gas (GHG) emission regulations starting 1 January 2025. Regulation (EU) 2023/1805 focuses on the use of renewable and low-carbon fuels in maritime transport.
In 2025 EU Emission Trading System phase-in schedule for carriers is to cover 70% of emissions, and from January 2025, carriers must reduce their GHG emission intensity by 2% compared to the 2020 baseline either by using alternative fuels or paying compulsory compensation.

Unit charges are valid for laden and empty units; lorries, trailers, containers, cars, and self-rolling cargo; it is calculated per starting lane metre. For over width cargo the EU ETS charge is calculated in the same proportion as the over width surcharge. The charge for break bulk will be defined per cargo load.
The charges will be re-evaluated quarterly.
